RA
is an acronym and stands for a quintessential breed of Indians who are
ardent travelers, critical examiners and mortals who have a scientific
mindset, to the extent that they take nothing at face value. For RA,
there are no shortcuts to knowledge-seeking and no room for a "i don't
give a damn" attitude, rather a unfathomable passion to peer through the
artificial mirage of everything. The popular doesn't overwhelm them nor
do they get bamboozled by impressions -- an ideal that helps them see
through myriad perspectives of people, events and cultures.
'R'
is an avid 'grasroots traveler' who has been traveling across India for
more than one and a half decade now. He is a highly experienced
professional working in the social sector which offers him the dual
advantage of exploring new cultures, traditions and cross-cultural
equations. He loves traveling, photography, and exploring societies,
their cultures, history and people.
'A' is a communication professional with experience of working in the corporate sector for more than 13 years. He is also a research scholar in the area of new media and technology and has done fieldwork on the subject in India and Europe. He loves photography, traveling, and learning about new cultures.
For RA, being 'truly human' calls for being sensitive to cultures, societies and people. This blog is an humble attempt by RA to unravel the unknown facets of the tiny island of Diu so as to equip future travelers with an honest perspective on things. Although RA studied Diu to the extent possible in the limited time they had, they do agree that the tiny island left them completely Diuized, soaked in the ethereal charm of Diu.
Hi 'RA' thanks for posting this wonderful info. Looking for more :-)
